TMJ Therapy and Bruxism

Bruxism is a condition in which you unintentionally grind or clench your teeth. This grinding can lead to jaw disorders, headaches, damaged teeth, popping or clicking in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and other problems. Dr. Kromhout may suggest a mouth guard be worn at night to absorb the force of biting or adjust the way that your teeth come together to restore a more balanced, stable bite.
